Admission tickets are valid for the following seven days after your visit and permit free unlimited entry for this period.

The National Botanic Garden of Wales is open every day of the year, except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The last entry is one hour before the Garden closes. Please refer to our terms & conditions.

Tickets can be pre-booked, however, this is not essential. If you would like to pre-book, please click below.


Unfortunately, we are unable to accept online bookings for visits to the Botanic Garden in January 2024. All payment methods are accepted on arrival. We look forward to seeing you.


Your admission ticket includes unlimited entry to the Botanic Garden for seven days from the date that you visited.

Disabled visitors pay the standard rate of admission but are entitled to one free accompanying carer place.

All children aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Our staff are trained not to assume a disability, so proof is required on arrival.

Proof includes:
  • Disability Living Allowance (DLA),
  • Personal Independence Payment (PIP),
  • Blue Badge (photo ID required),
  • Signed letter from GP (photo ID required),
  • Access Card.

Documentation should be dated within the last 24 months

    Can I bring my dog to the Botanic Garden?

    Dogs are not allowed into the Botanic Garden on a daily basis (with the exception of assistance dogs), but every Monday and every Friday is  Doggy Day, and the first weekend of each month. Find out more here.

    On Doggy Days, you are welcome to walk your pooch in and around the Botanic Garden. Dogs are not permitted in the Great Glasshouse or the Tropical House. We do ask dog owners to abide by our Doggy Day rules – please read them before you bring your dog.

    Cycling in the Botanic Garden

    We do not allow bicycles or skateboards into the Botanic Garden. However, if you cycle to the Botanic Garden, you are entitled to half price entry (on handing in helmets for safekeeping).

    How much is entry for carers?

    Carers come in to the Botanic Garden for free with the person(s) they are caring for.
