Summer Opening Hours

This Saturday, April 1st, will see the Garden change to its summer opening hours, 10am until 6pm, with last admission at 5pm.  More time to enjoy this special place!

 

Adwaith

Also this Saturday, the Great Glasshouse will be the venue for a special performance by an up-and-coming band.  Adwaith, a brilliant Welsh language four piece band from Carmarthen will perform a number of their original numbers from 1-3pm.

 

Many Happy Returns!

MANY HAPPY RETURNS IS BACK!

Our special ‘return ticket’ that allows free entry for a week, is back in operation just in time for Easter!

So anyone buying a ticket to the Garden between now and December 31st 2017 will be allowed back in FREE of charge for seven days after their visit – and as many times as they like!

 

Tenovus 10k

Have you taken up running as part of your fitness resolution? Do you fancy trying your hand at a 10k run?
The Tenovus Cancer Care 10k is now in its 5th year at the spectacular National Botanic Garden of Wales. With steady inclines and mixed terrain, there is no doubt that this is one of the most beautiful yet enjoyable 10k races in Wales.
And if you want to run with your colleagues and challenge other businesses, Tenovus have a Corporate Challenge entry, with registration for teams of between 4 and 6 runners.
For those not quite ready for the 10k, the popular 5k run is back for its second year!  For more information, including how to register see the Tenovus website here or contact events@tenovuscancercare.org.uk
With entry costing just £12, it’s a great way to get your blood pumping and see one of Wales’s best attractions.  The race will start at 11am, with check-ins available from 8am.
Come and watch!

Supporters and spectators will get half price entry to the Botanic Gardens, and it’s sure to be a great fun day out for all those who come to cheer you on!

 

Doggy Day

This coming Monday will again see the Garden welcoming visitors and their four-legged-friends.
Due to popular demand the Garden now has monthly Doggy Weekends planned for the upcoming months.  Don’t forget, every Monday is Doggy Day throughout the year!

A full list of Doggy Day rules can be seen here.  Dogs are permitted in Y Pot Blodyn’s coffee shop, the Seasons Restaurant, the Gift Shop and the main concourse of the Great Glasshouse.
Dogs are not permitted on the Great Glasshouse’s inner paths, the Butterfly House, nor the children’s play area.

 

Welly Wednesday

This week’s Welly Wednesday will be the last for a couple of weeks, as the school Easter holidays start on the 8th of April.

Welly Wednesday features an hour of fun, outdoor activities, storytelling and exploring for pre-schoolers and is a great way for parents to get their toddlers close to nature with 60 minutes of fun in the woods with water and mud – whatever the weather!

Activities start at 11am from the Gatehousenormal entry price applies to adults and children under 5 years old are free.
