Doggy Weekend

Bring your pet pooch for a fabulous walk at the National Botanic Garden of Wales, at one of our monthly Doggy Weekends.

December’s Doggy Weekend will be held on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd.

And don’t forget, EVERY Monday is Doggy Day at the Garden!

Dogs are permitted in Y Pot Blodyn’s coffee shop, the Seasons Restaurant, the Gift Shop and the main concourse of the Great Glasshouse.

Dogs are not permitted on the Great Glasshouse’s inner paths, the Butterfly House, nor the children’s play area.  Extendable leads are not permitted, you can swap yours for a non-extendable one at the Gatehouse for the duration of your visit.

Admission to the Garden is £10.50 (including Gift Aid) for adults and £4.95 for children over five. Dogs are free.

Entry is FREE for Garden members and parking is free for all.

Jingle Bell Jog

There’s a fundraising festive run at the Garden on Sunday, December 3, organised by Tenovus Cancer Care.

There’s a 2.5k and a 5k, as well as the more challenging 10k run.  Registration – Adults from £6, Children £4.

Christmas Craft Fair

The Garden’s popular Christmas Craft Fair will return this year, and there’ll be something for everyone looking to buy that perfect last-minute gift, on Saturday and Sunday December 9 & 10.

The Great Glasshouse will be the venue for a fabulous fair with a fantastic array of stalls showcasing locally-made crafts and gifts; from handmade and hand-dyed silk scarves and handmade jewellery to homewares and glass items – and plenty of Christmas decorations too!

There’ll be Santa Shows on both days too, at 11am, 12noon, 2pm and 3pm – £3 per seat per show – and there’s a gift for every child from Santa – call 01558 667149 to pre-book your tickets.
Why not stay on for our amazing Winter Wonderland experience from 4-7pm? Come to the ‘Park After Dark’ and enjoy: amazing lights show; stunning owl display; free mulled wine and mince pie; bar, barbecue, turkey rolls and other yuletide treats; children’s rides; music and much more!

Winter Wonderland

There’s not long to go until the Garden is transformed into a ‘Winter Wonderland‘.

Come to the ‘Park After Dark’ this festive season and enjoy:

  • Amazing lights show
  • Stunning owl display
  • Free mulled wine and mince pie
  • Bar, barbecue, turkey rolls, candy floss and other yuletide treats
  • Children’s rides and music

There’s special entry from the 8th to the 17th of December, between 4-7pm: £6 for adults, £3 for children, free for members.

The British Bird of Prey Centre

There are awesome encounters to be had EVERY day at the National Botanic Garden’s brand-new attraction – The British Bird of Prey Centre – with a daily flying display at 1pm!

You’ll be able to enjoy amazing flying displays by a Merlin, Red Kites, a Barn Owl and many more!
