Kate Rusby in Concert
One of the finest interpreters of traditional folk and one of the UK’s best songwriters, Kate will be on stage at the Garden from 7.30pm.
She has been nominated for the Mercury Prize, and has received awards for Folk Singer of the Year, Best Live Act, Best Album and Best Original Song at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
On the brink of a quarter century of music making, Kate Rusby released her 14th studio album Life in a Paper Boat late last year to rave reviews.
Tickets are £25 and available via EventBrite.
Alice Through the Looking Glass
The brilliant Quantum Theatre Company are on tour all over Wales this summer and, on Sunday June 11th, they will be at the National Botanic Garden of Wales with their production of Alice Through the Looking Glass.
This fun-packed show for families and children is a faithful adaptation that bowls along with plenty of energy, humour, songs and silliness.
The action starts as 2pm and there is no additional charge for this outdoor theatre performance.
Welsh Language Wildflower Walk
Join Marie Evans for a one hour Welsh language tour of the wildflowers at the National Botanic Garden of Wales on Saturday the 10th of June.
By walking through one of our organically-managed hay meadow in June, you’ll have the chance to see a variety of wild orchids and other wildflowers that have disappeared from much of our countryside.
A former primary school teacher at Teilo Sant in Llandeilo, Marie is an active member of the Garden’s Conservation Volunteers.
The walk will start at 2pm from the Western Entrance of the Great Glasshouse.
Walks are free with admission and do not need to be pre-booked. The pathways involve mild gradients and may get muddy in wet weather.
The walk will be delivered in the Welsh language and is suitable for Welsh learners.
Parkland Restoration Tour
To find out more about Sir William Paxton’s fabulous historic parkland and get an update on the progress of our Regency Restoration Project, join Louise Austin, the Garden’s Heritage Officer, at 2pm at the Western Entrance of the Great Glasshouse for a two hour guided tour on Friday the 9th of June.
Terrain is uneven and can often be muddy; please wear sturdy footwear.

Thanks to John James, one of the Garden’s volunteers, who has edited these night-time clips together from his wildlife camera at the Garden.
The camera was mainly aimed at a badger sett near the Garden’s Corporate Entrance.
The resulting 7 minute compilation shows otters, badgers and cubs, a fox and a pheasant!
