Botanical Gin? Yes please!

Ardd Fotaneg · Botanic Garden

I’m really looking forward to welcoming the owners of Teifi Cheese & Da Mhile distillery, based in Llandysul to this January’s Food Fair, for me it’ll be the highlight of the fair and a great opportunity to sample their tempting gins, whisky and liqueurs.  Their Sloe Gin is a new one on their list and I for one cannot wait to give it a go, and of course, where better to taste and buy some of their delicious Botanical Gin than here at the Botanic Garden of Wales!

Not to be left in the shadow of course is their tempting range of award-winning artisan welsh cheese from their organic farm deep in the heart of the Teifi Valley.  Their speciallity cheeses include;

  • Teifi Seaweed
  • Teifi Natural
  • Teifi Sweet Pepper
  • Teifi Cumin
  • Teifi Garlic
  • Teifi Garlic & Onion
  • Teifi Nettle

Entry to this event is just £3 instead of £9.75 – which makes it a must in my view!

There is of course a lot more on offer at the Garden besides the local food. The Great Glasshouse is always a sight for sore eyes and always dry too – so perfect in any weather!  The Garden’s Seasons Restaurant has a delicious hot menu on daily as well as the Med Cafe and Gatehouse coffee shop – something to suit the whole family for a great day out.

Worth noting too, that there is free entry to the Garden in January (Mon-Fri) which offers the perfect place to take a brisk walk, there really is something to see whatever the time of year.
