The red-tailed bumblebee is common across the UK and it can be found in many different environments.
As the name suggests, it is characterised by its red tail. Whilst queens and workers are completely black, save the red tail, males also have two yellow bands, and a yellow face.
Look out for them all over the Botanic Garden.
