Ben Wilde

Horticultural Trainer

Hi, my name is Ben Wilde. I am a keen enthusiast of outdoor activities, often walking in the Brecon Beacons National Park, and working on my bush-craft skills (primitive self-reliance).
I have been working in gardens since a very young age, helping my parents and grandparents tending their veggie patches. According to them, my favourite activity at the age of 5 was pulling out potatoes, leading to a trashed bed and all the potatoes out in one day. Now I am actually studying horticulture hopefully those “mishaps” can be avoided and my gardening skills can be improved and. honed. I’m always happy to help out with questions and enjoy the learning involved. If you see me around the garden, feel free to say hello and ask any questions about what is going on. Look for the hat, it’s probably on my head.
