The main focus of the Head of Catering and Corporate role is to operate and improve the commercial performance of the Garden’s catering and corporate activities by effective management and operation of resources, increasing its turnover and maximising profitability. Achieving performance objectives will require successful promotion of the Garden as a venue to new and existing audience groups, co-ordinating the delivery of catering and events, and ensuring the highest levels of client service and satisfaction. A significant feature of the role will be successful management and liaison internally and with outside contractors and suppliers.
The operation has an excellent reputation for customer satisfaction, focusing on the use of fresh and locally-sourced produce with an emphasis on sustainability, as well as high proportion of fair-trade and organic produce.
Cellan Williams joined the Garden’s senior team in February 2015. He has an excellent track-record of some 20 years in the hospitality sector, predominantly in London but also locally in Carmarthenshire.
This has included a range of establishments of different sizes and complexities including high-end venues such as Richmond Park, where his team had a focus on weddings and events.
He is currently driving forward the commercial efforts and raising the Garden profile, performance, and profitability. Originally from Brynamman, Cellan is a first-language Welsh speaker.
