Award-winning designers Kati Crome and Maggie Hughes will reveal all about producing a medal-winning plot for Chelsea when they visit the National Botanic Garden of Wales on Thursday September 26.
The pair, responsible for our ‘Get Well Soon’ garden at this year’s 100th anniversary RHS show, will be giving a talk – entitled ‘The Road to Chelsea’ – at 11am.
Their stunning creation illustrated the many ways in which a garden and its plants can improve your health through ancient, traditional, modern and alternative forms of medicine.
Says Maggie: “The aim was to capture the uplifting feeling that visiting a beautiful garden can bring as well as the health benefits of creating your own.”
‘Get Well Soon’s circular pond, stone and rendered walls and rill took their inspiration from the National Botanic Garden. A big attraction and talking point was the ‘reflexology’ path designed to be walked on barefoot and to stimulate reflexology pressure points.
There is a £2 charge for the talk, coffee and biscuits are included. To book your place or for more details, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01558 667149.
