The Head of Development creates and oversees the implementation of a strategic approach to fundraising which may include major gifts, corporate donations, grant solicitation, and in-kind resources.
Rob was seconded to the National Botanic Garden of Wales in March 2010 for a period in the marketing and communications team.
He joined the Garden as Head of Development in January 2012 since which time he has been engaged in strategic development, planning and fundraising.
He now leads the Garden’s drive on a number of major funding initiatives including the legacy campaign and, in 2014, successfully piloted a substantial bid focused on restoration of the Regency landscape, with the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Rob’s career has been divided between the private and public sectors. Having worked in financial services, manufacturing, media and music, Rob joined the International Division of the Welsh Development Agency in 1994.
