The building was handed over at a special ceremony on Wednesday, June 1st – Day One of National Volunteers’ Week.
Head of marketing, David Hardy said: “It is always great to celebrate the work of our amazing volunteers and this new space will, we hope, become a real hub for them – somewhere for a sit-down and a cup of tea, to share their stories or as a shelter and a refuge.”
Volunteer Co-ordinator Jane Down said: “It was a lovely event – with tea and cake, too. Volunteers, I’m sure, will greatly appreciate this gesture and, more importantly, this building.”
