Distilled for us by The Gower Gin Company, this herbaceous, savoury gin has notes of honey and a refreshing mix of meadowsweet, sea buckthorn, blackberry leaf, gorse flowers, heather and dandelion root.
Named after our National Nature Reserve, Waun Las (Green Meadow), this gin highlights pollinator-friendly and native plant species and, of course, celebrates the honey produced by our own Botanic Garden bees.
The aim was to create a gin which used some of our native plants rather than botanicals from the wider world, which reflects the core mission of the Botanic Garden and also reflects the important work undertaken by our science department.
With the help of Gower Gin and the research of our science team, we have created an alternatively complex gin from some wonderfully simple ingredients and used our ever-popular honey as a key botanical.
