Be wowed by the skills and craftmanship of carvers and turners in the National Botanic Garden as the British Woodcarvers’ Association are back by popular demand, putting on a weekend full of demonstrations and displays.
The Woodcarvers will be in the Great Glasshouse on Saturday 13 – Sunday 21 July.
“We always enjoy coming to the Garden,” said Derek Edwards, leader of the South Wales branch of the British Woodcarvers’ Association.
“We will be demonstrating our woodcarving for the public. There will be nothing for sale. We use these visits to increase interest in what we do and to drum up new members.”
BWA members meet regularly at similar events to carve, chat and to give and receive help and advice. The association is made up of 30 regions including South Wales.
