There is a unique opportunity this Saturday (April 23) to see up close plans to restore what was once one of the finest waterparks in Britain.
As the National Botanic Garden of Wales finalises its plans for the redevelopment of its regency landscape, 30 people are invited to join engineers Mann Williams and hear first-hand all about the design, the dams and the developing vision for this special corner of Carmarthenshire.

- The tour is through woodland terrain and can get a bit muddy, so why not dig out your adventuring boots and come along to discover this wonderful water park. Please wear weather appropriate clothing.

- To complete the restoration of this nationally significant historic parkland the Garden has successfully obtained funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund and others. The project “Middleton: Paradise Regained – Restoring a Regency Rarity” started in January 2015 and will have completed the original vision for the botanic garden, including the restoration of the parkland’s series of romantic features including dramatic cascades, waterfalls and fountains, linked by twisting footpaths and rustic bridges, leading to limpid pools, woodland glades, and captivating views, by 2020
- The Middleton Hall waterpark was created in the 1790s by British Empire nabob, Sir William Paxton who, at the time, was one of the richest men in Britain.
