Calling all young Indiana Joneses and Lara Croft wannabes!
From 10am to 12noon on the first Saturday of every month children aged 8-16 are invited to join the Young Archaeologists’ Club to learn about archaeology and explore the Garden’s past!
The club is entirely run by volunteers and, if you are older than 16 and would like to get involved, we would be happy to hear from you. It is possible to become an assistant from the age of 16 and a leader from the age of 18, and no prior knowledge is required.
Parents are welcome to stay for the sessions.

For your information:
In July the club will be meeting on July 21 – Please bring your archaeological treasures from home to show the group, and we will be choosing things to put in our museum and then setting it up (in the glasshouse). You do not have to put things you bring from home in the museum but you can if you like!
In August the club will be meeting on August 11 – The sealed knot re-enactment group are at the garden all weekend so we will visit them and learn about the civil war, being a soldier in 1644, and weapons. There will be horses and cannons!
