Easter Fun at the Botanic Garden

Mon 01 - Fri 05 Apr 2024 11am - 3pm Free with admission

We have an action packed week of nature inspired activities going on at the Botanic Garden this Easter.

From Monday 1st April  to Friday 5th April (11am – 3pm), we’ll have spring inspired arts and crafts to entertain young family members. Make your own animal mask or pick up a nature trail to explore the Botanic Garden at spring!

All craft activities will be based at The Hwb – Theatr Botanica (No 17 on your Garden map).

Explore other areas of the Botanic Garden:

  • Visit the British Bird of Prey Centre to discover more about the birds that live there (free to all visitors) and there’s  spectacular flying displays everyday at 11.30am and 1.30pm (additional charge applies). You can also fly the birds yourself in daily Group Experiences, where you can fly an Owl (3pm) or a Red Kite (3.30pm) for 30 minutes. These sessions are suitable for all ages and abilities and there is no need to pre-book, just turn up and join the fun (£10).
  • Explore the magical, deep, dark wood and discover our amazing hand-crafted carvings of the Gruffalo characters;
  • Go on an adventure in the Great Glasshouse by exploring the winding paths to discover plants from all around the world;
  • Discover the Tropical House and pretend that you’re in the hot and humid jungle;
  • Pick up one of our fascinating nature trail leaflet from the information table in the Great Glasshouse, or if you’re planning your visit in advance, find them here;
