There’s a family theme to this year’s Midsummer Concert at the National Botanic Garden of Wales.
Summer special is a family affair
In the stunning surrounds of Lord Foster’s awesome Great Glasshouse – the world’s largest single-span glasshouse – the 55-piece Symphonica Tywi will strike up at 7.30pm and play until dusk.
The event is a highlight of the season and promises, once again, a feast of popular classical music including a host of family favourites such as Tubby the Tuba, Thunderbirds are Go!, Fantasia on Sea Songs and Jurassic Park.
Conductor Mike Cottam said: “It will be fantastic to be back in the Garden after such a long break. It promises to be another fabulous evening of classical tunes for all the family.”
Midsummer Concert tickets are £18 for adults (£15 for Garden Members) and £8 (£6) for under-16s.
Members are reminded to make sure they bring their membership cards to validate their discounted tickets.
Refreshments will be available to buy from the Med Café in the Great Glasshouse or bring your own picnic. Chairs will be provided.
We are a charity that receives financial support from the Welsh Government.
We are extremely thankful to The National Lottery Heritage Fund, and all those who play the National Lottery, for supporting the Botanic Garden’s five-year landscape restoration project.
