An exhibition from Stitching Botanical in support of the Botanic Garden’s work.

The exhibition will feature several new projects, including our Stitched Herbarium, which illustrates in stitch some of the Threatened Plants on the Red List for Wales that are housed in the Botanic Garden’s Herbarium collection, Magnificent Moths, a collection of larger than life embroidered moths reflecting the some of the 600 species that have been recorded at the Garden in recent years, Branching Out; over 30 embroideries illustrating our native trees in support of the Botanic Garden’s long term ambition to house a national arboretum, Rivers, a series of  embroidered panels representing the biodiversity and cultural heritage of our five local rivers and Postcards from the Botanic Garden, a series of embroideries depicting favourite locations across the Garden

For a little bit of background information about the Stitching Botanical Group, here’s the link to the Stitching Botanical page on the Botanic Garden’s website.

Additionally, this short bilingual film beautifully captures the work of the group.
