Join us this Summer for an amazing outdoor cinema experience as part of our ‘Summer Nights’ evening events programme situated within the beautiful grounds of the National Botanic Garden of Wales.

Our  second Showing of the evening on Friday 6th September at 8pm will be Ghostbusters Frozen Empire (2024) In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artefact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.

Visitors purchasing tickets for Outdoor Cinema experience will only be permitted entry to the Garden after 7pm.

Food & Beverages will be available to purchase throughout the evening.

Visitors are encouraged to bring their own camping chairs and picnic blankets.

Refund Policy – No Refunds

This event will only be cancelled in the event of extreme wind or rain. If the event does not go ahead you will be entitled to attend another cinema evening at the Garden .

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a paper ticket?

Please bring ticket confirmation with you on the evening. Members are asked to bring a valid membership card with them to support their member ticket.

Can I buy a ticket on the door?

Yes, tickets will be available to purchase on the evening but we always recommend booking in advance.

Are dogs allowed?

Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted to our evening events.

Do you offer tickets for carers?

We offer complimentary tickets for carers when attending with the person(s) they are caring for.

Please bring documentation with you that supports this.

What time does the film start?

We have two films showing per evening.

If you have booked for the 6pm showing you will be allowed access anytime from 4pm onwards.

If you have booked a ticket for the second showing of the evening at 8pm the gates will open at 7.15pm.

 Can I bring my own food and drink?

You are welcome to bring your own food and drink but please remember that NBGW are now a ‘No Bins Garden’. We politely remind all visitors to take their rubbish with you when you leave the Garden and dispose of it responsibly.

Any remaining food or drink purchased in our cafes will be collected and disposed of by our staff. 

Can I bring my own chair?

Yes, please bring your seats, picnic rugs and cushions. The Outdoor Cinema will be held on Millennium sq.

Is it under cover?

No, this is an open-air event.

What if it rains?

If it rains the show will still go on. Only in the event of extreme weather such as yellow weather warnings will the screening be cancelled.
