The Very Hungry Caterpillar is coming to the National Botanic Garden of Wales!
From Saturday 28 March, families can enjoy an enchanting outdoor adventure inspired by Eric Carle’s beloved story.
Based on the world-famous children’s book The Very Hungry Caterpillar, this magical self-guided trail invites visitors to follow the journey of the iconic caterpillar through the Garden’s stunning 568-acre landscape. Along the way, discover vibrant, larger-than-life installations inspired by the colourful collage illustrations that have delighted generations of readers.
As you explore the trail, you’ll encounter themed activity stations that bring the caterpillar’s journey to life – from a tiny egg to a beautiful butterfly – combining the wonder of nature with the magic of storytelling.
Perfect for families and visitors of all ages, this joyful outdoor experience celebrates imagination, creativity and the natural world.
