Botanic Twmpath with Jac y Do

Fri 16 Aug 2024 6:30pm - 9pm Book Now

Join us for an evening of live music and dancing at the National Botanic Garden of Wales.

A Twmpath is a traditional Welsh barn dance involving a live folk band and a caller. The dances would happen across village halls in Wales bringing communities together.

Performing and calling the Twmpath will be ‘Jac Y do’. The band formed in 1987 in Amman Valley and are one of Wales’ foremost folk bands. The band has performed all over the world and we are excited to finally have them perform here at the Garden.

This event is sure to be a lively and energetic evening. Never attended a Twmpath before? Don’t worry, the evening is suitable for all ages and abilities. Don’t want to dance? You don’t have to, come along listen to the music, enjoy the food and atmosphere.

Tickets are £10 for adults and £6 for under-16s.

A 10% Discount is available for Members. Members are reminded to bring their membership cards to validate discounted tickets.

This is an outdoor event and will take place in the heart of the Garden on Millennium square. Tables and chairs will be provided but we welcome visitors to bring their own chairs or picnic rugs. In the event of heavy rain this event will be moved into Theatr Botanica.

Gates open at 6.00pm.
