Half Term fun in the Garden with family activities.
We have lift-off!
We are mostly designing and making rockets this half-term at the National Botanic Garden of Wales. So, join the jet set for some super-charged family fun!
The action starts on Saturday February 18 with Bug Encounters when you could get very close to a Giant Land Snail and you can try some edible insects – if you want to!
There is also a visit by Folly Farm’s favourite magician/juggler Luke Jugglestruck to enjoy as well.
Come Monday (and all through the week), we will be looking at the stars, with special telescopes and various other astronomy activities as well as the rocket-making workshops. You will also have a chance to make your own trebuchet and find out why Dryslwyn Castle is in the state it’s in.
There will be lots of fun and giant Garden games, too.
On Saturday (February 25th) and Sunday, Luke Jugglestruck returns to amaze you with his magical stylings.
We round off half-term week with a very special St David’s Celebration Day on Sunday February 26 in honour of our patron saint, with a food and craft fair and music by local choirs.
Entry to this Celebration Day is free for everyone.
The Garden is open from 10am until 4.30pm every day through half-term and all activities and workshops are included in the Garden admission price.
Entry is FREE for Garden members and parking is FREE for all.
