Candle Making Course

Everyone loves candles, whether decorative or functional. Why not join our resident beekeeper Martin to learn more about beeswax candles and the different methods using to produce them?

Learn how to make simple rolled candles, moulded candles and hand-made dipped candles in the comfort of science lab workshop.

This half day course provides all the materials required, including a range of moulds and beeswax from our own bees. Learn about the history of beeswax candles and their benefits compared to more commercial paraffin or soya wax alternatives.

This will be a half day course from 10am -2pm and will take place in the Botanic Garden’s Science Centre.

The course is £50 (Members £45) which incudes all course materials and entry to the Botanic Garden, please feel free to explore after the session!

There are a wide range of dates available from March to September.

Spaces are limited and must be booked in advance.
