Botanic gardens are known for their collections of plants, and with over 5000 taxa of plant here, we’d like to encourage you to come and see, and get to know, all of our specialist collections.
But we have more than just horticultural collections.
We manage our Waun Las National Nature Reserve to encourage biodiversity and we consider all the living things on our site to be part of our biodiversity collection.
As a site of historic interest, we also have a collection of old buildings, Regency landscape features and research about the people who once lived here. This complements our indoor collections of seeds, dried plants and fungi and library. Outdoors, we have collections of art and sculpture, and on our farm, Welsh breeds of cattle and sheep.
